Leon E. Procopio

Leon E. Procopio, age 72, of Valparaiso and formerly of Hobart and New York passed away Thursday August 25, 2022.  He was born November 11, 1949, in Gary, Indiana to the late Bernard and Eleanor Rose (Phillips) Procopio. He was a retired Global Trader who formerly worked for John Hancock Insurance Company. He loved to cook and received a certificate from Le Cordon Bleu of Chicago. Here was a US Naval Veteran.

Leon is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Robert) Pace of Crown Point; Granddaughter, Aiyanna Pace, of Crown Point; sister, Laura (Owen) Stephens of Hobart; a niece, nephew, and cousins; and special family friend, Janice Scherer of Hobart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Eleanor Procopio; grandparents Pauline and Leonard Procopio; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his former spouse, Rose (nee Schlesinger) Procopio.
