Leona R. Shepard, age 67, of Hebron passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at St Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  Leona was born May 28, 1950 in Detroit, MI.  She was a former waitress.  Leona loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and her trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Leona loved her friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Leona is survived by her children, Sabrina (John) Fashing of Hebron and Frederick (Allyson Boord) Vehrs of Hobart; two grandchildren, Jack and Max Fashing of Hebron; Long-time companion, Terry Foley of Hobart; two brothers, Bruce (Theresa) Greer of Three Oaks, MI and Fred (Life Partner Donald Van Winkle) Brackett of Mishawaka; her sister, Star (Gearld) Shipley of Lake Station; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Rogers; her husband, Thomas Shepard; and a brother, Robert Greer.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm Saturday December 30, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are preferred to the American Heart Association.
