Leonard W. Mangione

Leonard W. Mangione of Lake Station passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. He was born on March 16,1941 to the late Salvatore and Ollie (nee Heath) Mangione in Gary, Indiana. Leonard worked for LTV Steel as a part manager and retired in August of 2000. On November 14, 2000, he married Gertrude Ann Bosel in Schererville. He was an active member of Deep River Church of Christ of Merrillville.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Gertrude Mangione of Lake Station; cousin, Dawn (Bob) Faust of Hebron and many other loving family members and friends.

Leonard was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Collen Mangione; and his parents.

A funeral for Leonard will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 12:00 p.m.   with Rev. Ron Buche officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. He will be laid to rest at Calumet Park in Merrillville, Indiana. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 12-4 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
