Leonardo R. Gajardo Urquiza

Leonardo R. Gajardo Urquiza, age 64, of Hobart, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  He was born in Santiago, Chile on October 9, 1954 to the late Rosamel Gajardo and Lucy Urquiza.  Leonardo was a man of deep faith and a member of St. Bridget Church in Hobart.  He took great pride in his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He was a generous, outgoing, and fun-loving person who loved engaging in banter and making people laugh.  Leonardo will be greatly missed.

Leonardo is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosa Mellado; son, the Reverend Leonardo J. Gajardo; daughter, Renata (Roberto Vargas) Gajardo; grandchildren, Nicolas, Eva; and brother, Milton Gajardo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Leticia Gajardo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 am with the Reverend Leonardo J.
