Lesliane K. Pruitt, age 59, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. She was born on September 16, 1956 in East Chicago, Indiana to Carl and Janice Konefsky. Leslie proudly served her country in both the United States Navy and the Air Force. She was very proud of the work she did with Gift of Hope regarding organ donation. For her career job, she was employed as a licensed practical nurse. Leslie was a talented singer and enjoyed singing in the choir at Metropolitan Community Church where she was also a member, and with the Northwest Indiana Symphony.

She is survived by her beloved wife, Laurie Pruitt; mother, Janice Gardner; son, Michael Tyl; daughter, Jennifer (John) Justice; granddaughters, Savannah Tyl and Harper Justice; brother, Christopher (Henrietta) Konefsky; sister, Lisa (Tom) Pickel; cherished dogs, Abby, Rocco, Sophie, and Olivia.

Leslie was preceded in death by her father, Carl Konefsky; step father, Edward Gardner; and one sister, Anna Mitchell. Memorial contributions in Leslie's name may be made to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, 425 Spring Lake Drive, Itasca, Illinois 60143-2076.

A memorial service for Leslie will take place Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Metropolitan Community Church, 5579 Clem Road, Portage with Rev. Michael Cooper officiating. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the church.
