Libby Lou Joseph

Age 69 passed away Friday, June 24, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Libby was born on June 14, 1954, to the late Clarence and Sally Lawson in Gary, Indiana. She was a member and sponsor of Harvest Baptist Church and was a retired Bethlehem Steel worker. Libby enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to care for others, and her dogs. She enjoyed playing piano, singing, and watching Jeopardy. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Andre Joseph; two sons, Aaron (Sarah) Lackey and Andre F. (Rhonda) Joseph II; five daughters, Jody Russell, Tabby Lackey, Jamie (David) Lynch, Mickey (Charles) Morrison and Katie (Tony) Knoll; two brothers, Lonnie (Betty) Lawson, and Thelmer (Mary) Lawson; sister, Margie (Ray) Siera and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Lawson, mother, Sally Lawson, three brothers, Doug (Becky) Lawson, Terry (Julie) Lawson, and Allen (Kathy) Lawson; three sisters, Barbara (Larry) Flaningan, Shelia Hurt and Janet Lawson.

A celebration of Libby's life will be held from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 6,2023 at Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Road, Portage, Indiana 46368. Cremation was entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368.
