Liduvina Gonzalez (Ventura), age 96, of Lake Station passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1928, to the late Alberto and Lile Ventura in Enid, Oklahoma.

Liduvina married the late Amelio Sr. in 1952 and spent 45 loving years together raising their seven children. She earned her associate degree in education and worked as a paraprofessional at River Forest Community Schools. Liduvina loved to play bingo and spending time with her family. She was very sociable and made new friends everywhere she went. She was a strong and intelligent woman, who taught herself English. She was always stylish and loved jewelry and clothing. Liduvina will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her loving children; Albert Gonzalez, Alma Gonzalez, Nora (Hugo) Bravo, Anita Cartagena, Sandra (Robert) Otero; her sister, Ernestina Garza; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded by her loving husband Amelio Gonzalez Sr.; her sons, Amelio Gonzalez Jr. and Ruben Gonzalez; her brother, Albert Ventura Jr.; her sister, Amalia Barrasas; her parents, Alberto and Lile; and her son-in-law, Ed Cartagena.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue Lake Station, Indiana 46405.
