Lillian N. Daily-Podgorny, age 101, of Lake Station passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. Lillian was born May 31, 1912 in Augusta, West Virginia to the late Frank and Nellie (McKee) Daugherty. Lillian was a homemaker, mother and wife that worked for Apollo Drugstore when she was younger. Lillian was a devoted Member of the Deep River Church of Christ, The Women of the Moose #1507 for 36 years and a collegian, and was a member of the VFW 9323 Auxiliary.

Lillian is survived by four son's Edward (Mary) Daily of Valparaiso, Donald Daily of Lake Station, Larry Daily of Hobart and Mike (Patty) Daily of Wheatfield; two daughters Norma George and Florence Hughes both of Lake Station; one sister Virginia Beach of Valparaiso; and over 150 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands Edward Earl Daily and Joseph "Papa Joe" Podgorny; one son Robert Daily; one grandson Edward Daily and two sons-in-law Sam George and Bill Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday August 16, 2013 at the Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Avenue Lake Station, IN 46405 with Mr. Ron Buche officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation Thursday August 15, 2013 from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
