LILLIAN M. DAVIS, age 86, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at home. Lillian was a longtime Portage resident and member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. She was a wonderful, loving wife & mother. Lillian was also a caring, thoughtful Christian woman of unshakable faith.
Her husband, William R. Davis, preceded her in death in 1998. Lillian is survived by 3 daughters: Phyllis (Jesse) Weldon of Lake Station, Pam (Dan) Thorn of Valparaiso and Billie (Larry) Cory of Medford, Oregon, 7 grandchildren: Jesse Weldon, Jr., Randy (Carrie) Weldon, Danny (Liz) Weldon, Jeffery (Janette) Thorn, Brian (Angela) Thorn, Crystal (Carl) Ehlig and Carmen (Mike) West, 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10 am at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5360 Clem Rd., Portage, with Rev. Mark L. Hostetler officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be Friday at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage from 2-8 pm.
