Lillian E. "Sue" Strine-Godfrey, age 95, was ushered by angels to her heavenly home on March 7, 2024. A lifetime resident of Lake Station.  Wife of the late Otto Strine and late Richard Godfrey.  Sue was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 4, 1928.  Married Otto April 10, 1948, in Crown Point, Indiana.  After his passing in 1991 she married Richard on December 18, 2004, who was with her until his passing on January 16, 2020.

Sue was a homemaker, foster parent, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital, and a long-time member of Central Church of God, Portage.

Sue was preceded in death by loving husbands, Otto and Richard, family members and precious friends.

She is survived by one precious loving daughter, Lynda; four sons, Jim, Robert, Kevin, and Walter; one sister; half-brother, Ed Saffrahn; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana, with the funeral to follow at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Jerry Martin.  Sue will be entombed in Graceland Cemetery.
