Lillian M. Young, age 93, of Crown Point passed away Tuesday September 20, 2022, at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Lillian was born March 7, 1929, in Calumet City, Illinois to the late Peter and Anne (Nowakowski) LaSota. She was a retired Registered Nurse that had worked at the Hammond Clinic. Lillian loved spending time with her family volunteering at her Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and played piano for the Sunday School. She loved Sewing and Quilting. She was a member of the Porter County Retired Nurse Association.

She is survived by her children, Greg Young of Griffith, Steven Young of Crown Point, and Karen (Don) Czerwinski of Valparaiso; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Jane LaSota of Calumet City, IL; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bennett Young; son, David Young; two brothers, James LaSota and Henry LaSota; and two sisters, Dorothy Andrews and Marge Oliver.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday September 24, 2022, at the Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Hebron, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
