Linda Blankenship

Linda Blankenship, age 69, of Hobart passed away Friday March 17, 2017 at her home. She was born August 4, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Edward and Beulah (Bellinger) Kisela. Linda was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She enjoyed quilting and crafts. Linda loved her family and her pets.

Linda is survived by her husband, Cliffton; two sons, John Wick and Thomas (Laura) Williams both of Hobart; two daughters, Melody (Andy) Proffer of Hobart and Christina (Tom) Brown of Chesterton; two stepchildren, Clifton (Jennifer) Blankenship of Valparaiso and Zandra Blankenship of LaPorte; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Evan (Sharon) Kisela of Mississippi; one sister, Donna Belt of Lake Station; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Adam Ortiz; and two sisters, Barbara Preston and Maxine Blanchard.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until services time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
