Linda L. Brennan, of Portage, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Crown Point, IN. Linda was born on November 6, 1943 to the late John V. and Alice (nee Hopkins) Jackson in Oswego, New York. She worked as a Telemarketing Manager for many years with General Electric and other firms. Linda's interests in life were varied; she loved long motorcycle trips with her husband, Larry, and GE friends, and also enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning and crocheting. Many family members, friends and all the babies in Linda's circle own one of her afghans. Recently, Linda enjoyed spending time with friends at the Bonner Senior Center and volunteering as a poll worker for local elections. There are also many fond memories with family and neighborhood friends enjoying a glass of wine on Linda's front or back deck. Linda loved spending time with the children in her life — bundling up for early season track meets, picking veggies from the garden, football games, mystery dinners, camping trips, sleep overs, the Easy Bake Oven, Medina fairs, You are my Moonshine, rounds and rounds of Dummy Rummy…her life as Grandma B and Aunt Linda. Family was important to Linda — dinners with everyone around the table, supporting each other during good and bad times, cracking jokes with her brothers and laughing for hours. She was a dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, niece and friend. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her two sons, William "Bill" Lindala and J. Michael Harris; daughter, Kathy Ireland; three grandchildren, Kimberlee (Brian) Seggelink, Derik Lindala, and Kylie Ireland; great grandson, Oliver Seggelink; sisters-in-law, Gail Jackson and Vicki Jackson; nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. The list of others she knew and loved is endless and too numerous to list, just know that you were always in her heart. Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence A. Brennan, parents, John, and Alice Jackson, two brothers, John V. Jackson II and Mike Jackson and Duke, the best black lab in the world.
