Linda Lee Daves

Linda Lee Daves, age 77, of Valparaiso passed away Friday August 15, 2025, at Northwest Health-Porter Hospital. Linda was born February 16, 1948, in Gary Indiana.  Her adoptive parents were Stanley and Christine (Breneman) Pangburn. She worked as a Hotel Desk Clerk for several local hotels, including the Days Inn in Portage. She loved to cook and was compiling a cookbook of her family's favorite recipes. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Leona Byers-Jakel of Valparaiso, and Donna (Steven) Koselke of Wanatah; eight grandchildren, Robert (Whitney), Heather, Destiny (Stephen), Jake (Maddie), Darrell (Caroley), Tyler (Jessica), Jazzmyn (Anton), and MacKenzee; Seven great grandchildren; six sisters, Diane Cetera, Mary (Earl) Nelson, Rose Cutler, Kimberly (Roger) Aguirre, Joy Cooper, and Peggy (David) Castle; two brothers, John (Yolanda) Cutler, and Abraham Cutler; many Nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her birth mother Donna Riddle; two daughters, Ramona Maxey, and Alice Stump; two granddaughters, Charity Cook, and Donna Byers; a brother, Harold Shaffer; two sisters, Jean Ann Gerchus, and Patricia Cutler.

Visitation for Linda will be on Monday August 25, 2025, from 2-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Her ashes will be buried at a future date.
