Linda M. Grunstein (nee Danko), age 51 of Gary, Indiana passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was a longtime Gary resident and was formerly of Highland, Indiana. Linda was born on June 27, 1961 in Bloomington, Indiana. She worked at Methodist Hospital as a Medical Technologist and was a longtime member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church in Portage.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Grunstein of Gary, IN; 1 son, Alexander Grunstein of Harrisburg, PA; 2 daughters, Kira and Helena Grunstein of Gary, IN; mother, Linda Danko of Hammond, IN; 1 brother, Michael (Lisa) Danko of Portage, IN; 1 sister, Mary (Arthur) Harms of Gurnee, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Danko.
Memorial donations in Linda's honor may be made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Avenue, Munster, IN 46321.
Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A memorial mass in Linda's honor will be Monday July 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Nativity of Our Savior Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road with Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating. Memoral visitation is Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 5:30pm prayer vigil at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
