Linda L. Miscko

Linda L. Miscko, age 84 of Hobart, formerly of Glen Park (Gary), passed away at VNA Hospice on Monday, April 17, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1938 to the late Bill and Sylvia (nee Nastoff) Gielow. Linda grew up in Glen Park and was a 1956 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. She married Michael Miscko on July 23, 1966 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They were members at St. Bridget Catholic Church, where she was the St. Bridget School Secretary for 10 years until her retirement in 2003. Linda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Linda is survived by her twin daughters, Karey (David) Dziewicki and Kelly (deceased Tom) Wilkening; 5 grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) Kukulski, Ryan and Caitlin Dziewicki, and Rachel (fiancé Ethan Smith) Wilkening and Luke Wilkening; great granddaughter, Sage Jocelynn Kukulski and Baby Boy Kukulski arriving in July 2023; brother-in-law, Charles Rhodes; sister-in-law, Mary Sue (Tom) Partin; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Michael, on February 26, 2021; infant daughter; and sister, Pat Rhodes.

A visitation for Linda will be Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 beginning with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home and going in procession to St. Bridget Catholic Church, 107 Main St., Hobart, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
