Linda (Kalberer) Teague, age 67, of Portage, passed away at Valparaiso Care and Rehab on Saturday, May 26, 2018.  She was born on November 4, 1950 in Gary, Indiana to Vera R. (nee Detterline) and the late Thomas Kalberer Sr. Linda was a clerk and cashier at Kmart for 20yrs. before going back to school to earn her Bachelor's degree in Medical Coding. She enjoyed her most recent occupation as a Cancer Registrar at Southlake Methodist. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart and a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post 260 in Portage. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (David) Lane of Portage; two grandchildren, James Lane and Rebecca Lane; mother, Vera Kalberer of Hobart; brother, Thomas Kalberer Jr of Union City, TN; sister, Cindy (Ben) Blair of Crete, IL; three nephews, Benjamin A. (Ashley) Blair, Philip (Kate) Blair, Nathan (Amanda) Blair; niece, Heather (Caleb) Norman and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Kalberer Sr.; paternal grandparents, William L. and Hazel L. Kalberer; maternal grandparents, Cyrus A. and Lauretta E. Detterline.

A funeral for Linda will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Trinity Lutheran Church 900 Luther Drive, Hobart, with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation for Linda will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. American Legion Auxiliary Post 260 service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W.
