Linda K. Wheeler (nee Pollock), age 78, of Lake Station, IN and formerly of Lewisberg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

Linda was born on January 28, 1944 in Washington, PA to the late James and Hazel Pollock.  She was a graduate of Trinity High School, Class of 1962.  Linda was a hairdresser for all her life and owned New Creations Hair Salon.  She married the love of her life, Harold Wheeler, in 1963 and spent 45 years together until his death in 2008.

Linda was known for her strong faith.  She was a member of New Chicago Baptist Church and assisted as a Sunday School teacher.  Linda was also a member of the Women's Bible Study and helped with Vacation Bible School.  She was also a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Lake Station Fire Department Women's Auxillary.

Linda will be remembered for her faith, love, and compassion toward others. She never met a stranger.  Children were her biggest joy and she became a second mother to many.  In a pinch, you could always call "1-800-Linda-Wheeler" if you needed anything.  Linda was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, dear sister, and beloved friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her children: Robin (late Randy) Williams, Melissa (Russell) Armes, and Shawn A. (Shawn M.) Wheeler; daughter-in-law: Kim Wheeler; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Margaret (Calvin) McIntyre, Warren (late Lila) Pollock, and Robert (Renee) Pollock; sister-in-law: Lois Wheeler; many nieces and nephews; several close friends; and her "adopted" children she kept under her wing.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband: Harold Wheeler; children: Calvin Wheeler and Baby Wheeler; parents: James and Hazel Pollock; and brother: James Pollock; son-in-law: Randy Williams; and sister-in-law: Lila Pollock.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage) on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 P.M.  A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, February 28, 2022 from Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jerry Stepp officiating.  At Rest, Calvary Cemetery.
