Linda Young (nee Wozniak), age 69, of Hobart, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family members.

Linda was born on December 18, 1955, in Gary, Indiana, and was raised in Hobart. She is survived by her son, Christopher (Valerie Fratgillo) Heath; grandchildren, Ivy Fisher and Ephriam Fisher ; sisters, Sharon Palmeri, Theona (Robert) Camarena, Debbie Houser, and Kristina (Steve) Godsell; and brothers, John (Sharon) Sistanich, Robert (the late Heather) Sistanich; sister-in-law, Wanda Wozniak; many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, George Young; parents, Theodore and Gene Wozniak; and her grandson, Sgt. Logan Carl Boshell; her brother, Theodore Wozniak Jr.; her sister, Toni Amico.

Linda pursued a career in nursing, attending Ivy Tech, and became a Practical Nurse. She loved fishing, working in her flower and vegetable garden, and playing with her kitten. While indoors, she enjoyed baking, working jigsaw puzzles, and painting with oils and acrylics. She always enjoyed listening to music, especially the bands Joe Bonamassa and Led Zeppelin.

Per Linda's wishes, she will be cremated and a private inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Home.
