Lisa Ann Mayer

Lisa Ann Mayer, age 63, of Hobart passed away Tuesday June 23, 2026, at her daughter’s home. She was born August 6, 1962, in Gary, Indiana to the late John and Linda (Clingan) Gavelek. Lisa was an administrative assistant for Meade Electric Company. She is loved by her family and will be missed. Lisa enjoyed traveling, cooking, and crafting. She was a very creative woman.

Lisa is survived by her daughters, Rachel Walker of Hobart and Lindsay (Jonathan Bresolin) Mayer of Chicago; three grandchildren, Jake Breeden, Claire Breeden, and Dylan Byrd; her brother Jon Gavelek of Hobart; her sister, Julie Clark of Hobart; many other extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Gavelek.

Lisa will be cremated with no attended services at this time. Rees Funeral Home was entrusted with her final arrangements.
