Lisa R. Starkey, age 52, of Portage passed away Saturday May 2, 2020 in St Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  Lisa was born June 30, 1967 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late David and Lois (Lemmon) Evans.   Lisa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Devon "Duke" Starkey; her six children, Richard Allen (Pamela) Evans of Chesterton, David Lee Evans of Portage, Brittney Y. Janiga of Valparaiso, Alyssa Janiga of Gary, Jacquelynn Janiga of Valparaiso, and Katelynn Starkey of Wisconsin; three brothers David P. (Theresa) Evans of Hobart, Donald (Tami) Evans of Crown Point, and Leonard (Deborah) Evans of Portage; one sister, Heather (Thomas) Imgram of Valparaiso; thirteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Devon Starkey, Jr.

Private visitation will be conducted from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday May 7, 2020 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368.  Private Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Rev. Michael McFarland officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
