Ljubica Pavleska

Ljubica Pavleska, age 86, passed away on May 6, 2026, in Merrillville, Indiana. Ljubica was born on March 18, 1940, in Velestovo, Macedonia, to the late Angele and Blaguna Krstanovska. On March 18, 1970, she married the love of her life, Pavle Pavleski, in Bitola, Macedonia, and they spent 48 loving years together until his passing in April of 2018.

Ljubica loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. She was known as a wonderful hostess who welcomed everyone into her home with warmth and generosity. She loved to sing, dance, and cook for family and friends, creating joyful memories around every gathering. Her strength, kindness, and loving spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ljubica is survived by her loving family: daughter, Blagica “Betsy” (Kenneth); and two sons, Riste “Chris” (Ne-Ne), Kire “Carl,”; grandchildren, Steven (Leslie), Karola, Diana (Matt), Mykol (Azalea), Emmalee, Markale, and Niela; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Jeremiyah, Trenton, Adryahna and Maddix; and many nieces and nephews here and in Macedonia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pavle Pavleski; son, Zoran; daughter, Kristina; and her parents, Angele and Blaguna Krstanovska.

Funeral services for Ljubica will be held on Tuesday, May 12,2026 at 12:30 pm, with Father Aleksandar Mitrov officiating directly at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. A burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Funeral service will also be held at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10:00 until time of service.
