Lois Faye Anderson

Lois Faye Anderson (nee Blanton), age 84, of Portage, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Golden Living Center. She was born on July 12, 1933 in Gibbs, Kentucky to the late Matt and Dolly Blanton. On January 22, 1949, she married the love of her life, James B. Anderson. Lois was a devoted member of Bible Baptist Church in Portage. She was a wonderful person, who loved her church family. She will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Lois is survived by her son, James E. Anderson; daughters, Gatha L. (Ron) Thornell, Mildra S. (Gerald) Dennis; grandchildren, Tracy Vasques, Raymond S. Dennis, Jennifer (Shawn) Fuller, Danielle (Keith) Scott, Kiya (Mark) Adkins, Ashley (Bobby) Sellers, Kristen (Eddie) Jacobs, Jessica (Ryan) Trunk, Laci (Joe) Sears; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Vernon (Goldie) Blanton, Troy (Irene) Blanton; sisters, Mae Smith, Betty (Jerry) Sears, Pearl (Arnold) Gilbert.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Anderson; infant son, Robert Anderson; brothers, Robert, Calvin and M.B.; sisters, Eulene, Myrtle, Maggie, Hazel and Flossie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lois' name may be made to the family.

A funeral service for Lois will take place Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Bible Baptist Church, 6659 West US Highway 6, Portage, with Brother Don Good officiating. She will be laid to rest at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church.
