Lois J. Perunko, age 84 a longtime Hobart resident passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025.  She was born on May 18, 1940 in Gary, Indiana to the late Howard and Elizabeth Burger.  She worked for H. Gordons, ANCO, and GTE.  She enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles.  Lois was very proud of her knitting and sewing projects.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Day of Hobart, LeeAnne Perunko of Hobart and Laurie (Owen Jr.) Held of Portage; one brother, John "Jack" (Carla) Burger, six grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley (Trent), Jonathan, Brandy, Britney,  William, and one great grandson, Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Perunko, Jr., one son-in-law, Donald Day, and one sister, Barbara Romer.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 25, 2025 beginning with 9:30 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana and then processing to St. Bridget Catholic Church, 568 E. 2nd Street, Hobart for a 10:00 am. Mass of Christian burial with Rev. Benjamin Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2025 from 4- 8 pm. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
