LOIS M. SABLE (nee HECK), age 76, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Lois had been a resident of Lake Station for 51 years and Monticello, Indiana for 16 years. She was a member of the East Gary Eagles, AMVETS and liked to crochet.
She is survived by 4 children: Ed (Renee) Sable of Lake Station, Kurt Sable of Hobart, Cheryl (Larry) Ling of Ida Grove, Iowa and Ellen (Phillip) Podrecca of Lake Station, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister, Ellen Baumgardner of Lake Station. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clare F. "Ozzie" Sable, son, William Sable and granddaughter, Tabitha Sable. In lieu of flowers monetary contributions to the family would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating.
