LOLA R. AUTRY, age 85, of Portage, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. She was born in Kentucky and had been an area resident for many years. Lola was a faithful member of Central Ave. Church of God in Portage for almost 50 years. She enjoyed making dolls and loved her two toy poodles. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, William Eugene (Vikki) Autry of Milan, IN; daughter, Ramona (Michael) Cheek of Portage; 4 grandchildren, Shawn Autry, Christina (John) Cedeno, Angela (Andrew) Pollock, and Melody (David) Timmons; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Charles (Brenda) Moore of Corbin, KY; sisters, Dorothy Garza of Lake Station, and Rosanna (Gerald, Jr.) Rich of Portage; nieces, nephews and other loving family.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, William Autry; parents, Tip and Della Moore; granddaughter, Nelli Towle; 4 brothers, Sam, Fred, Arnold, and George; and 1 sister, Fannie.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Ave. Church of God, 5120 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Jerry P. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
