Lorene Contreraz

Lorene Contreraz (Nee Pitcock), age 92, of Portage and formerly Lake Station passed away Thursday August 4, 2022 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Lorene loved her family, the outdoors, and her cats.

Lorene is survived by; nine children John Welbourne, Brad Lee Welbourne, Jesus (Pam) Contreraz, Irma Dunahoo, Raul (Lynda) Contreraz, Roy Lee (Nancy) Contreraz, Robert (Martina) Contreraz, Roger (Cyndi) Contreraz, and Ronald Lee (Diane) Contreraz; twenty-five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Roy; two sons Robert Wayne Welbourne and James Lee Welbourne; thirteen brothers and sisters.

Cremation services were handled by Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368.
