Lorraine Eleanor Sanchez

Lorraine Eleanor Sanchez, age 63, of Portage, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her home. She was born November 21, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Robert J. and Victoria (Chavez) Mullen. Lori was a loving mother, wife, and a mail carrier. She loved gardening, baking, going to the movies, and most of all, staying in touch with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, Steven Sanchez of Portage; three children, Chrissy Sanchez of Portage, Damon (Catie) Sanchez of Portland, Maine, and Alex Sanchez of Indianapolis; brother, Joseph (Robin) Mullen of Peru; sister, Teri Mullen of Portage; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Mullen, Jr.

Visitation for Lorraine will be held at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services for Lorraine will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Cremation to follow.
