IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lotte
Subartowicz
August 24, 1924 – March 2, 2021
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Lotte Berndt-Subartowicz was welcomed into Heaven at the age of 96.
Lotte was born in Karlsruhe, Germany. After WWII, she married an American Serviceman at 26 and moved to Indiana, where she raised her 3 sons and 2 daughters. Lotte was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Teddy Subartowicz, her sons, Pete, Larry, and George. She is survived by her two daughters, Anna Marie Peters and Janet Jones, along with her long-term boyfriend, Scott Colette, two granddaughters, Shannon Mitrovich and Amber Lunsford, along with her fiancé, Corey Magnuson and their two children, Aliyah and Jace, grandkids, Carrie, Cathy, and Shane Jones, Pete Berndt Jr., his wife, Trina, and many great-grandkids.
Lotte had a passion for animals and gardening. She always had a dog, she treated like a child and dressed as such. Her roses were her pride and joy, letting everyone know, hers were better! She loved to scream BINGO when others won, had more Christmas decorations than were ever needed, played the harmonica, bird watched, and of course, being the center of attention. Always! Everywhere. She was a real beauty, firecracker, and there will never be another woman like her. Her sass will be missed.
A visitation will be held at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
