Lottie Stanislawa Piesyk

Lottie Stanislawa Piesyk (nee Zuwala), age 77, a longtime resident of New Chicago passed away Monday, July 14, 2025.  She was born on October 19, 1947 in France to the late Michael and Anna Zuwala.  Lottie worked in the Lake County Recorders office.  She was a former member of Assumption BVM Church and currently a member of the Salvatorian Fathers/Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Merrillville.  Lottie loved sewing, crafts, crocheting, shopping, and cooking, especially pierogi.

She is survived by her husband, Krzysztof "Kris" Piesyk of New Chicago, IN; five children, Krzysztof "Kris" (Jemiah) Piesyk of Mill Creek, IN; Andrew (Amber) Piesyk of Hobart, IN; Elizabeth Piesyk of Valparaiso, IN; Eva (Manny) Heridia of Hobart, IN; Annette (Robert) Saylor of Lake Station, IN; nine grandchildren, Brookliyn, Patrick, Anna, Hayley, Drew, Manny, Madalynn, Katelyn, Robert, and one great-granddaughter, Emersyn.

Funeral services are Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11 a.m.  directly at Salvatorian Fathers, 5755 Pennsylvania Street, Merrillville with Rev. Nicholas Markiewicz officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. wake service at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
