LOUIS M. CURL, age 87, of Portage, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. He was born on October 22, 1925 in South Bend to the late Otto and Mabel Curl. Louis was in the US Navy and was a retiree of LTV Steel. His main hobby was CB Radio and his handle was "Stovepipe". He will be missed.
Louis is survived by his 2 granddaughters, Marsha (Brian) Marx of Porter and Shannon Glasgow of Valparaiso; 4 great granddaughters, Amanda Dunahoo, Cassandra Marx, Emilia Marx, and Deanna Marx; 1 great-great granddaughter, Savannah Simmons; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; son, Bruce; and 3 brothers.
A funeral service for Louis will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
