LOUIS W. REPS, age 96, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Brentwood. Louis was born on March 15, 1917 in St. Louis, MO to the late Blanche and Louis Reps. He was a graduate of Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania where he was the Captain of the tennis team. He was also a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity during college. Louis retired as NWI Sales Manager for NCR in 1982. He was a longtime member of the Merrillville Exchange Club and in his tenure he scheduled 500 weekly speakers. He was a member of the Innsbrook Country Club and served on the Board of Directors. Louis belonged to the Match Point Tennis Club of Griffith and played on their traveling team. He served on the Advisory Board for St. Anthony's Hospital. Louis was a Notre Dame Fan and ticket holder for 40+ years. He was a man of great faith, and a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he served as a lector and as a member of their Choir.

Louis is survived by his brother, John Reps of Ithaca, NY; 1 niece and 1 nephew; and dear friends and caregivers, Joan and Andrew Garber of Hobart; other loving friends and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Louis will be Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 5885 Harrison St., Merrillville, IN 46410 with Rev. Roy Beeching officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
