Louis Dwight Tanner

Louis Dwight Tanner, age 58 of Eden Prairie, Minnesota passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025.  He was born on September 19, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Owen and Christine Tanner.  He was formerly a LaPorte, Indiana resident and a former member of the Door Church in Laporte.  Louis was also a member of the Cedar Valley Church in Minnesota.  Louis enjoyed attending church, being with family, going out to eat and to the movies and playing games.

He is survived by his daughter, Geneva Tanner of MN; one sister, Amanda (Michael) Stewart (nee Tanner) of Rosemount, MN; and one brother, Dennis (Audrey) Tanner of Louisville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann Tanner in 2024, and two sisters, Judy Chesser (Jimmie) and Jacqueline Tanner.

Visitation is Friday, January 2, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home,  Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.  At 2:30 p.m. we will go in procession to Graceland Cemetery for a 3 p.m. committal service.
