Louis George Turzai

Louis George Turzai, age 47, a lifelong resident of Portage, passed away on February 28, 2011. He was born on February 8, 1964 in Gary, Indiana the son of George and Carrie Turzai. Louis was a 1982 graduate of Portage High School and is a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. Louis was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Eagles. He loved to go fishing and bowling.

Louis is survived by his loving family; sisters Lillian Seeley, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Carol (Michael) Roll, Lake Station, Mary O'Boyle, Porter, Georgann (James) Rodrick, DeMotte, Elizabeth (Thomas) Modesto, Portage, Anne Lewis, Medaryville, Frances (Darrin) McCoole, Valparaiso, Lois (Robert) Hanna, Portage, numerous loving nieces and nephews, and other loving family and dear friends. Louis was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Louis Turzai will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Morning visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am directly at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage with a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Father Andrew J. Corona, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Memorials in Louis' memory may be made to the Turzai family.
