Louise J. Podlecki

Sunday, June 11, 2023, Louise J. Podlecki of Chesterton, Indiana, loving wife of the late Nicholas Podlecki, passed away peacefully at her home at age 90. Louise was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mario and Julia (nee Cenni) Chiappe on July 11, 1932. She was a graduate of Hirsch High School where she lettered in cheerleading. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lynn (Jim Bryant) Podlecki, Paul (Aletia) Podlecki, Greg (Marci) Podlecki; grandchildren, Steven (Simona) Podlecki, Chelsea (Andrew Barnes) Cunningham, Melissa (Ben Barnes) Podlecki, Matthew Podlecki and Nicole E. Podlecki; great grandchildren, Nicole Estella Podlecki, Dean Podlecki, Isabella Barnes, and Paxton Barnes and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Podlecki; mother, Julia Chiappe; father, Mario Chiappe and sister, Rose (Fred) Solari.

A visitation for Louise will be Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 5:00- 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368.

A funeral service for Louise will be Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Lawson officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368.
