Loyd Dale Allen, age 69, of Portage, passed away February 18, 2015. He was born on December 25, 1945. Loyd served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserves, was a member of the Midwest Carpenters and Millwrights, Local 1005, the Porter County Conservation Club, and the U.S.A. Corvette Club. Loyd enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Loyd is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Johnson), together 19 years; daughter, Amy Mamounas (Cody); son, Jeffrey (Cassie) Allen; sister, Alice (Frank) Galvin; Brother, Charley (Darla) Allen; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Allen Vuko; grandsons, Alex and Pete Mamounas and expectant grandson, Elijah Dale Allen. Also survived by mother-in-law, Billie Miletich; brothers-in-law, John and Ron (Tina) Johnson and many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evelyn Allen; son, Charles Dale Allen; and brother, Lee R. Allen.

Visitation to be held at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN Friday, February 20th from 2:00-8:00 p.m., additional visitation Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
