Luella M. Jacobs, age 83 a longtime Portage resident passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014. She was born on January 13, 1931 in Winimac, Indiana to the late Milo Clifford and Sylvia S. Archer. Luella worked at Portage Central Elementary School from 1961-1968 and also as an Inspector for the Anderson Company retiring in 1993 after 25 years of service. Luella loved crocheting.

She is survived by 2 sons, Larry (Diana) Jacobs of Portage, IN; Terry (Susan) Jacobs of Madison, IN;, 3 sisters, Elverda (late Frank) Pace of Monon, IN; Wanita (Charles) Flannigan of Otis, IN; Sylvia (late Nelson) Lovely of Wanatah, IN; 1 sister-in-law, Bessie Archer of Royalton, KY; 6 grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Lazinski, Ronald (Angie) Ward, Terry (Missy) Jacobs, Jr., Larry (Connie) Jacobs, Anthony Jacobs, Jennifer (Mike) Waclawik, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifford Jacobs, and 1 daughter, Linda Ward, 1 son-in-law, Ronald Ward, 1 brother, Walter Archer, 1 sister, Virginia Spears.
