LUPE LOPEZ, age 91, of Portage, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Rittenhouse.  She was born in Jalisco, Mexico on March 15, 1927 to the late Salvador and Rosa Lopez.  Lupe was a retiree of Andersen Company with 40 years of service and was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church.

The beauty of Lupe Lopez….. a special sister, a fabulous aunt and a great friend.  Lupe wore a smile that exuded the colors of the rainbow.  Her kindness and compassion was infectious to all that came in contact with her.  Lupe lived life simple beyond rewarding since family was her main ingredient to her happiness.  She loved her TV and DVDs and a hopeless romantic and martial arts buff all rolled into one person.  If she had the change to marry Bruce Lee, I think she would have.  Lupe will be sorely missed by all who knew her.  If you can imagine a rainbow, that is where she is holding her mother and father's hand while resting in her brother's heart.

She is survived by her brother, Sal (Espie) Lopez, Portage; niece, Sherri (Tom) Lopez, FL; nephew, Sal (Krystal) Lopez, FL, nephew-in-law, Sam D'Aloisio, FL; great nephew, Justin Morales, Valparaiso,  great nieces, Ashley Leb and Alicia D'Aloisio; great-great nephew, Justin Morales; great-great niece, Ocean Morales; special friends, Barbara (Tim) Rosing, Marie (John) Perez, Sharon Botsch, Marsha and Betty; other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Salvador and Rosa Lopez; nephew, Richard Lopez; and niece Debbie D'Aloisio.

Per Lupe's wishes, there will be a private celebration of life with her family and close friends.  Arrangements entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
