Madeline Petri

MADELINE T. PETRI, age 90, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 .  She was born in Gary, IN on January 26, 1929 to the late Michael and Anna Feryo.  Madeline was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where she was always willing to lend a helping hand.  She was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching all the different sporting events on TV.   Madeline will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Madeline is survived by her 3 children, Robert (Cynthia) Petri of AL, Matthew (Eliece) Petri of Hobart, and Janet Yurchak of TX; grandchildren, Jason Yurchak, Timothy (Nicole) Yurchak, Michelle (Greg) Napiwocki, Heather (Matt Penrose) Naasko; step-grandchildren, Kelli (Cory) Evans, and Lisa (Brian) Lakes; many great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Urban and Anne (John) Springman, all of Hobart; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, Joe and Michael Feryo; sisters, Mary Miller and Pauline Anthony; son-in-law, David Yurchak; step-grandchildren, Earl Hafner and Alisa Ferguson.

A visitation for Madeline will be Friday, November 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 Noon at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Burial at Calumet Park Cemetery.  If you have questions, please call (219) 942-2109.
