Mae L.J. Lemons, age 90, of Hobart, and formerly of Lake Station, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. She was born on May 31, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward and Lulu Krumrie. She was a member of the American Legion Post 100 Ladies Auxilliary and the War Mothers Unit 21. Mae attended Grace Church of the Nazarene in Portage.

She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mae was preceded in death by her son, Edward "Butch" Lemons; two brothers, Howard and Edward Krumrie; and two sisters, Mary Lou Riggins, and Delores Newsom.

A funeral service for Mae will take place Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, IN with Rev. Mark L. Hostetler officiating. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in a private ceremony. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
