Magdalena Santos

Magdalena (Moreno) Santos, age 74 of Lake Station passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1947 in La Luz, Michoacan, Mexico to the late Juan Moreno and Guadalupe Ruiz. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she dedicated her life to taking care of them. She loved knitting, traveling and trying new recipes. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose Santos; sons, John (James Lovekamp) Arroyo, Angel (Dawn Rohrback-Arroyo) Arroyo; daughter, Lupe (Philip) Clark; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob and Allister; brothers, Alfredo (Luz) Moreno, Octavio Ruiz, Albert Ruiz; sister, Teresa (Jose) Perez; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Moreno and Guadalupe Ruiz; brothers, Xavier Ruiz and Rafael Moreno.

A funeral service for Magdalena will take place Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
