MARCELLA JEFFERS, age 74, of Hobart, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center. Marcella was born in Booneville, Indiana on November 30, 1936. Marcella was a member of First Baptist Church of New Chicago.

Marcella is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clifton Jeffers; 4 children, Clifton Earl (Lorraine) Jeffers, Jr., Patricia Staples, John (Debbie) Jeffers, and Billy Jeffers; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Baker; 1 sister, Virgie Schofner; other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Mattie and George Conner; grandson, Brian Jeffers; sister, Gladys Huggins.

A funeral service will be Monday, November 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, Rev. Bill Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
