Marcella "Marcie" Rantau

MARCELLA "MARCIE" RANTAU (nee Rantauskas), formerly Velasquez, age 70 of Gary, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at home. Marcie was formerly of Indiana Harbor and a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Church in Merrillville. Marcie was a loving and kind person who helped anyone she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Anne Rantauskas and sister, Millie Sayger.
Marcie is survived by 4 sons, Bob Velasquez of Madison, WI, Damon (Ronda) Velasquez of Hobart, Ron (Jennifer) Velasquez of Virginia Beach, VA and Greg Velasquez of Indianapolis, IN, 7 grandchildren: James, Randi, DeAndra, Gina, Eric, Adam and Amanda, great grandchildren, Lexi and Christian, many loving nieces & nephews. Marcie was a friend of Bill W. and his sisters & brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, with Rev. Basil Hutsko officiating.
