Marcia J. Tracy (nee Cady), age 79, of Portage, IN, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Marcia was born on April 20, 1943 in Cairo, Illinois to the late Marshall and Eula Cady. On May 29, 1965 she married the love of her life, Richard Tracy, whom she met at Hobart Federal Bank. Marcia worked as a teacher's aid to Mrs. Epple for 18 years at Aylesworth Elementary School in Portage. She also worked at Knight's Coin Shop for 18 years. Marcia was a huge Elvis Presley fan and was able to see him in concert in Chicago.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Richard Tracy; son, Scott (Shirley Tramm) Tracy; grandchildren, Ashlee and Scotty Tracy; sisters, Belinda (Jeff) Gilbert, Judy (Chris) Kellog, Jill (Danny) Kidwell.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Tracy; father, Marshall Cady; mother, Eula Bannister; and stepfather, William Bannister.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel (3781 Central Ave., Lake Station, 46405) on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A funeral service for Marcia will take place Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 am from Rees Brady Chapel. She will be laid to rest at McCool Cemetery.
