Margaret Johnson

Margaret Johnson, age 87 of Crown Point passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.  She was born on May 10, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry and Alberta Sims.  Margaret had worked for many years as a Data Analyst.  She loved roller skating, dancing, bowling, listening to music and spending time on the water.  She absolutely loved and cherished spending time with her family.  She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters, Dea Johnson of Downers Grove, IL; Asaia Lang of Crown Point, IN; Remon Murphy of Merrillville, IN; one son, Christopher Johnson of Waterloo, IA; two sisters, Portia and Ivy, four grandchildren, Miceala, Layne, Haley, and London.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lee, Pirvella, Maggie, Johnny, Irma, Maryella, Veronica, Alfred, Percy, and Marzette.

Funeral services are Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Crown Point with Rev. Mario Sims officiating.  Cremation will follow the services.  Visitation is on Friday, March 4, 2022 just prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel.  (219) 661-2600.
