Margaret E. Krumrie, age 85 of Portage, Indiana passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. She was born on October 26, 1925 in Muhlenburg County Kentucky to the late Grover and Lilly Rose. She was raised in Kentucky and later moved to Portage, Indiana where she was a longtime resident, however she was proud of being a "Rose" and a Kentucky girl

She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan (Mauro) Colunga of Portage, IN; Judy (Dan) Peck of FL; 11 grandchildren, Jami (Jason) Maisonneuve, Dominique Colunga, Mauriza Colunga, Tommy Harris, Sherie Wood, Danny Krumrie, and Sarah Moen, Tracie, Cherish, Ken Jr., and Frank Krumrie, 7 great-grandchildren, Kierra Maisonneuve, Hunter and Alexis Harris,Ana Wood, Nicole Krumrie, Matt Krumrie and Allie Moen, 1 sister, Mary Belle Steele of KY; 3 step-children, Linda Krumrie of AZ; Howard "Duke" Krumrie of FL; Ken (Liz) Krumrie of FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Krumrie, and 3 brothers, Jack, Tom and Gene Rose.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station with Rev Duane Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation is on Saturday just prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, Lake Station.
