MARGARET H. "PEGGY" MANJARREZ (nee BEELER), age 80, of Valparaiso, and formerly a longtime Hobart resident, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. Peggy was born on December 9, 1932 in Gary to Harry and Margaret Beeler. She loved working with the customers as a manager at Busch Jewelers and was a member of the Gemological Institute of America. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always be remembered for her remarkable sense of humor.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Frank; 3 children, Peter (Tammy Sorrell) Manjarrez of Griffith, Christopher (Melody Cummins) Manjarrez of Hammond, and Janice (Mickey) Bobele of Valparaiso; 6 grandchildren, Zachary, Tanner, Tyler, and Connor Manjarrez, Dylan Derucki, and Abbie Bobele; 3 sisters, Marion (Andy) Regan of Medaryville, Barbara Beeler of Columbia, SC, and Sharon Redmond of Porter; grand puppies and grand kittens; other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret; 3 brothers, Carl, Alan, and Donald Beeler; 1 sister, Janice Beeler.

A funeral service for Peggy will be Monday, February 4, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with Rev. Bob Burton officiating. Cremation will follow services.
