Margie Stevens, age 58 of Gary, IN passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was born on June 29th 1952 in Chicago, IL. Margie was a longtime Gary resident and a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jerry Stevens, and Sonny (Melissa) Stevens, 2 daughters, Sherri Stevens, and Toni Stevens, 1 brother, Henry Peterson, 1 sister, Tanya Stanley, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Theresa Peterson, and her husband, Rocky Stevens.
Funeral services are Monday, November 1, 2010 at 12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
