Marguerite L. Barth, age 88 of Hobart passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was born on May 26, 1922 in Creston, Iowa to the late Leon and Signe McChesney. She retired from St. Mary Medical Center where she had worked as a Registered Nurse, having taken care of thousands of babies in the nursery. She was a longtime member of Augustana Lutheran Church. Marguerite was a great baker of cookies and cakes. She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by 2 sons, Terry Barth, Kim (Susan) Barth, 3 daughters, Dian (John) Vogel, Marilyn (Dan) McDevitt, Patricia (Rick) Karver, 1 daughter-in-law, Marsha Barth, 1 sister-in-law, Jane McChesney, and 1 cousin, Fred (Nancy) Larson, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Barth, 1 son, Dennis R. Barth, and 1 brother, Clifton McChesney.
