Maria DeJesus Bianco, age 55 of Lake Station, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Crown Point. Maria was born on December 25, 1957 to the late Nicholas and Angelita Ramirez in Gary, Indiana. Maria married Timothy Bianco on September 3, 2005. Maria was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Portage. She enjoyed bible study with her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, shopping, camping, fishing and traveling. She also loved her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Tim of Lake Station; 1 son Francisco (Kacey) Gonzalez of OK; 1 daughter Carolina Gonzalez of Lake Station; 2 brothers, Dalmiro and Nicholas Ramirez both of Lake Station; 3 grandchildren, Francisco Gonzalez, Sergio Carrasquillo and Memphis Gonzalez.
A funeral service for Maria will be Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Pastor Don Good officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 pm. and from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
